Under Eye Cream Problems

I don’t know about you, but the biggest problem I have with under eye creams is that some give me milia. Thos those who are not yet aware what milia is, they are the milk spots or oil seeds, are benign, keratin-filled cysts that can appear just under the epidermis or on the roof of the eye lids. Given, they are quite small, but they come in numbers and they are still undeniably visible. It’s like having dried tear flakes on your eyes.

The first thing I look for in my eye cream is that it does not produce milia or any other side effects. Expensive, I would consider. Ineffective, I would think I was expecting it. But allergies, irritations, and side effects, then I whine and bicker. It’s like buying something to ruin my face. It’s just plain wrong.

Anti Aging Eye Cream Standards

My standards for anti aging eye creams are very specific. I know what my problems are, and I require my eye cream to serve the purpose of treating, or at least minimizing these skin problems.

First of all, let me start with the basics. It has to take away those fine lines. I want my anti wrinkle cream not only to temporarily erase those fine lines. You might want to be careful with those instant wrinkle disappearing creams because they worsen your crows lines in the long run. I dont mind waiting quite a bit, as long as I see visible differences along the way. The changes should be consistent, and continues at a specific duration of time. This is the type of anti wrinkle eye cream that I would definitely look for.

Second, the under eye cream should be able to erase the dark circles around my eyes. I am aware of my lifestyle and the time my work requires, so maybe I dont expect total disappearance, but I would definitely like to see a bit of improvement on that part. Also, since it takes time for it to minimize, the eye cream should go well under my concealer. I dont like the type that would flake once you go and put your make-up. It would only make you look absurd during the day.

The minor things I look at to determine if its the best anti aging eye cream is their packaging. I prefer something that comes in clear packages, so I can atleast see what I’m paying for. I’m a bit torn between the tub and the tube though. The tub is ideal for those last dabs, so you’re sure youre getting all that you’re paying for. The problem with this is, you have to be a hundred percent your fingers are very clean, else, you might damage your eye cream. The tube on the other hand, is great for hygene purposes, but you always end up with amounts of under eye cream stuck at the tip of the tube, which is another waste of money.

If youre looking for the best under eye cream, I would suggest listing down your standards. Reviews or eye cream sites themselves usually post the details that you have already listed down. They too have considered what women want, so make sure you know what you’re looking for.

I Tried an Eye Cream You Might Want to Check Out

I started to use an eye cream that actually works! Anyway, let me tell you about how it happened. As usual, I was looking for some eye creams that would actually work. I read a lot of different blogs and different reviews, believe me, and there were a lot. The good thing was, they were always consistent. When one review said it cleared fine lines, other blogs also agree. Of course, there were a few negative reviews in some forums as well, but overall, it was always positive. When I was finally satisfied I bought the product on amazon for 28 dollars, and was so excited when I got the eye cream.

Here are the details:

Avon ANEW

Avon ANEW

Avon ANEW CLINICAL Eye Lift
$28.00 from Amazon

# Upper lid tightening
# Minimizing fine lines
# Almost instant results
# Diminishes dark circles
# Works on a variety of skin types
# Bigger size compared to other eye creams
# One of the top selling products in some online shops
# No strong odor
# A little expensive
# Initial application is annoying
# Has no SPF
# Does not work for some

Let me just clarify on the the initial application part. Once you put the upper lid cream on your eye lids, you get a bit irritated by the fact that it does not sink in. I later found out it was actually designed to do that. It creates a film that pulls up your lids, making me look more awake than I’ve ever been in months. Yes, the upper eye lid cream works like a wonder, you see results instantly. The under eye cream takes a bit waiting, but really did make a difference for my fine lines, which is the reason for this blog right?

Well, you might want to try it out. Admittedly, it is a bit expensive, but compared to other eye creams, it really falls more on the average. I’d rather spend a few extra bucks on something that works, than to waste all my cash for nothing. If you’ve tried it, please tell me how it worked for you too. I would love to figure out what type of skin it works best on. I would consider it one of the best eye cream so far.

Eye Cream Doubts

There are so many scams out there, and the anti aging industry is no exception. I know I have fallen victim to many scams involving eye creams, buying one, and later, finding out that none of their users actually found any use for them! I don’t even want to mention the dollars I spent for these wrinkle products, they would just make my heart hurt, and my skin curl from the damage it underwent because of allergies.

It is for this reason, that I also feel equally elated when I find an eye cream that really works to clear my skin problems. I definitely agree with an article I read, “Will You Win With Eye Creams” regarding eye cream scams and the search for eye creams.

For an ordinary person, is it possible to know which eye creams work better and why? Without any chemistry major, can one actually look at the and eye cream information area and sort through the terminologies to find out which one works? Some just shrug their shoulders, and go for which has the best website, or the highest price tag.

Oh wow, can they be more right? You would think, you know, this thing is soooo expensive, the scam would be too obvious, turns out, it really is.

Asking a professional doesn’t have to be asking the lady behind the beauty clinic counter… Even friends who are constantly on the go for any new eye cream is almost borderline close to becoming experts because of their collected experience.

Definitely. Listen to your friends, or even online friends you have grown to trust to give you their honest experiences.

In this article, you’ll also find some ingredients that you might be interested in. Some natural ingredients that you should look for in eye creams. Happy reading all!

Eye make-up? First Try Eye Creams

Good make-up highlights your best points, they don’t totally hide your flaws. So before you start thinking of how to do that hottest eye make up effect, first think of how to take better care of your skin, and how to make it beautiful under all those covers.

Imagine putting on your foundation over skin that has folds and lines. It may even out the color, but not those creases on your skin. Back then, when I have not begun my research on improving my wrinkles and skin flaws, I was very dependent on make-up. Concealer for those discolorations, tons of foundation for wrinkles and rough skin, but I always end up shrugging my shoulders, thinking, oh well, this is better than nothing. The problem is, while applying make-up, the skin flaws are so visible with my bright lights and huge mirror, and I often get depressed, no matter how good and expensive my make-up is.

If you think putting on wrinkle creams or moisturizing lotions are such a hassle and eat up your time, think of the additional minutes you need to put on more and more make-up, retouch every how many hours, and countless moments you would stare at your skin on the mirror. Think about it.

Fine lines since my Twenties

I lived a not so healthy lifestyle during my early twenties, go out for late drinkings, work, read, study til the wee hours of the morning, so when I got to my late twenties, I already noticed a good deal of fine lines around my eyes, and I was determined to get rid of them. Since then, I’ve already tried a good deal of eye creams, and a lot of eye care regimens to battles the age lines while I continue to the lifestyle I was used to. Some were utterly useless, some actually worked.

I’ve seen a lot of long lost friends lately, and boy, I almost was not able to recognize them. You’d be amazed how different crow’s feet can make you look. Dye the hair, wear young clothes, put on loads of make-up, but believe me, it will not hide those unwanted lines and discolorations.

I am starting this blog to help those like me, and maybe get some more tips *wink. You can never be to beautiful can you?
